Roubaix.

It's like something out of Dante.

Vote ronde 1!!

sure roubaix has the cobbles and liege has the hills but the mighty ronde has both by the bucketload. a 20% climb is hard enough on a smooth road but even try to imagine it when its wet and slippery and cobbled!!

having said all that, my fav race of all time was the '94 roubaix. duclos lasselle and ballerini riding on wet cobbles both with rear wheel punctures, backs of the bike slipping all over the road but still pedalling, other riders flying past them, is something i wont forget in a hurry!!

Although I am Italian, and love both the San Remo and the Lombardia, my favorite is the Ronde van Vlaanderen. It is a mix of an extremely hard race with some cobbles. Nothing is more exciting than seeing the boys hammer up the murs.

I was there when Argentin won in 1991, screaming like a madman at the finish line, while he outsprinted Dhaenens in the Italian National Champion jersey.

It does not get any better as a cycling crazy 22 y.o. 😄 😎

If I have to pick one - and you're making this difficult Andrija - it would be either
Tour of Flanders or Paris Roubaix.
Roubaix gets my vote for no other reason that it's history and the fact that you do need luck (avoiding punctures etc) to win it.
For me it just pips Flanders.

But I have to say I love all the classics!

Ronde vs. Paris - Roubaix, that's the real dilemma.

Yes, they are. Among offered classics there are those five monuments, that's why I wrore "classic (monument)".

My real favorite monument is Grant's Tomb in NYC.
