You can't imagine the number of times I've been over little Pinehurst
where this picture was taken. They should have routed them up big
Pinehurst but then it would have been a pain in the butt to the
residents of Skyline Rd.

Note also the mis-matched shorts and jersey (while this is normally ok,
especially for the Jon Hamblen, Jared Gruber et al hodgepodge pro team
kit) that are from different seasons but same team, the GLOVES with the
KNUCKLE HOLES!!, ball cap on with brim to the front (wow, fast), the
livestrong bracelet, yes, the obvious under short rumple, the pasty
white skin, the tone calves (ummm almost), and the gatorade bottle.

Also, I am a short socks kinda guy, dont get the new long sock thing.
But this guy manages to make short socks look fredly.

J, this is a level of attention that should only be given to a young
lady in a serious degree of undress, with maybe a bicycle to keep her
on-topic. If she wants to wear her baseball cap brim forward, that's
OK too. Having the capacity to mismatch jersey and shorts would, of
course, be a fundamental contradiction to the purpose of the picture,
what with one or the other being superfluous.

If, however, you want to fixate on the bike, this is permissable and
understandable. On occasion, even the one with the young lady
previously described.

That full team kit including team bike Fred thing is really big in
Europe. While riding in France last year, I must have seen six
different full postal guys. Three on Mont Ventoux alone! At first I
assumed they were Americans, but when I spoke to them, they all turned
out to be Dutch or German. Lots of T-Mobile Freds out there too.

Bret (owns a LS postal jersey w/ rainbow cuffs, but only wears it under
jacket on cold days)

Even the great Stephen Roche uses the term FRED!!!! Wow, I feel
somehow vindicated.
