  1. Hi My bike is an 8 speed, 1st is too high (cherry bomb, dual suspension)
I want to put on a front derailleur for XC(?) riding
Is this practical. What do I need to consider : the front chainguide will have to come off of course

LX front derailleur & sifters are cheapish. What else will I need (gear rings of course)

  2. Will I need Top or bottom pull ??

Messing with the derailluer set up on a bit can be tricky. Does the bike even have cable guides for a front derailluer? I wouldnt imagine it would if it didnt come with a FD. You would need the new FD, shifters, crank, and likely a BB, too.

Prolly be easier to just put a larger cassette on there.

  4. The bike has cable guides for front derailleur & the cranks are compatable with
    front derailleur.
