I switched to Kool Stop pads and they worked for me. There are many who do
not like them though. YMMV.

I'm sorry to hear about the squealing. I've been trying to tell people that
they need to upgrade to v-brakes, or better yet, cantilevers. Not only are
they lighter, but they squeal less often, the brakes themselves and the
replacement pads are cheaper, and they don't cause the wheel to suddenly
shoot out of the dropouts when you look at it funny. All in all it sounds
like a win-win situation for everyone; upgrade your bike to vees today! 😉

If they're really new then they may bed in after a few miles. If they
continue to squeak than a dab of copper grease between the 'BACK' of
the pads and the piston should help.

Hi, it may be the caliper not perfectly parallel to the disc.
First Try isopropil alcool to degrease the disc.
Second look wether between the right and left pad and the disk there
is the same space, if not correct it with washers.
If nothign works ..look at this tool

or have the work done by you Specialized dealer.
Hope to have been useful.
Excuse me for my (bad) english.

Mine did this when I first got them too, after the first 15h of hard
ride it went away, I asked my mec right away when it started and he
said that it is normal for new discs.

Its cus they are new, just ride them out on some speedy hills and they
will work out.
If they still sound id take it to your bike shop and have them fix it.

The FAQ needs a revamping soon - maybe graphical with piccy goodness.
I think you need a 2/3 vote of the majority posters to get in. We'll
have to have nominations soon.
