Actually, you make a good point. I had ASSUMED that there was a TT
later this week, and there's not. But, from reading the
cyclingnews.com story, it appears that even the Spaniard doesn't fancy
his chances. It was only his first ever pro win, and while he may have
won it anyway, Landis gifted it to him in a sense by not contesting the
sprint.

It's pretty clear from the writeup that Landis was clearly the dominate
rider today. I hope he can defend his lead.

It just occurred to me, but I'm guessing Phonak might not be missing
TH's presence all that much after all. I bet they're glad Floyd
decided to stick w/ them through the problems they had getting into the
ProTour.

You can bet your butt that he didn't "stick" with them without plenty
of financial incentives. And it now seems as though they were more than
warranted.

No, but his new TT position that he brought out at the Toc might be more significant. I still wouldn't bet on him, but i think higher of him then I did last year.
