cajeta - caramel sauce

I have the Coronado brand and I don't like it at all. It's more
of a peanut butter texture than a sticky, chewy, stringy mass that
you'd associate with a "main-line" brand like Brach's. It's not
very sweet tasting either.

I'm using it for peanut butter and caramel sandwiches just so I
can get rid of it.

Nope. I leaves a kinda dry feeling on your tongue - a floury

Cajeta isn't really a "caramel sauce". It's sweetened condensed milk that
has been caramelized. You can make your own that's much better.

Is there any difference between cajeta and dulce de leche?

Haven't tried that brand. Normally I like cajeta but then I like many
goat's milk products.

on the label, but it's really an overly-happy little cow's head.

Shame. They also make a goat milk version.
