Garmin Topo and new 'x' models

No, not normally. Wouldn't make much sense in France or Japan, or the
USA, would it.

You'll be able to tell from the prices (Topo UK should add at least
£100, more likely £125+, to the basic price). Fwiw, I think the Etrex
models are going to get the new Sirf chipset sometime (soon?) so it
might be worth holding off until they do (else spring for a 60Cx, which
already does).

The Garmin 60CSx is exactly the same as the 60CS except the x denotes
that there is zero internal memory and instead a micro SD card is used.
The 60CSx comes with a 64MB micro SD card (blank). The GB topo has to
be purchased separately and can be stored on the micro SD card (or to
memory if you have a model with internal memory, i.e. a non x model).

After much research to decide what's right for me, I'm actually about
to put an order in for a 60CSx and GB topo (sold separately). In fact,
I called Garmin the other day who told me that the GB topo also allows
auto routing ala City Select (except of course GB topo obviously just
covers GB where as City Select covers whole of Europe BUT GB topo
benefits with contours).

price on the 60Cx is pretty good too, although aspidshop (google for it)
can usually beat any other European price, somehow.

before? I was looking at gpsw.co.uk who are selling GB topo for
£149.99. They're selling 60CSx for £398.94. Do you know anywhere
that can beat that?

Wiggle are fine. Been around for years, supplying cyclists. I've used
them. Stuff turns up when its supposed to, and you get what you ordered.

Nope, but I'm about to .. using a credit card not much can go wrong. The
price is £150 everywhere else.

That sounds pretty remarkable for the CSx .. most places can't get that
low on the basic Cx.

These products seem very exciting, but bloody expensive. I'll stick with
ye ancient Garmin 11 plus for a while yet!
