Shropshire campsite ?

There aren't as many choices around here as you would think. There is one on
the other side of Church Stretton and - over the other side of the Mynd -
something close to Wentmor.

The hostel at Bridges in one of those where lights are out at 11.00! They
might allow you to put the tent up in the large garden though.

The Horsehoe Pub - in Bridges - tell me that they are converting some
outbuildings to accommodation for this summer. The pub is currently run be a
very nice couple who've never got used to half their customers disappearing
early because they have to make sure they don't miss lights-out next door!

Thanks for that. Does 'basic' mean that there's a restricted menu
in the restaurant, or that you have to get to the washing trough
before the cows come home and want their drink ?

Sounds excellent, especially wrt the single malts.

Presumably it's not so nice and quiet at weekends, though ? Or will I
miss the worst of the family traffic by going before the end of term ?

The hostel does officially allow camping, but have a school party
in that weekend. An 11:00 finish would be rather limiting, though
I suppose that doesn't apply to camping.

'Basic' refers to the campsite facilities. I just did a quick Google
and came up with Kevindale 01588 660326. If its the same one
then there is a basic but functional shower/toilet block. The pub
is good, as far as I can recall, if you see what I mean :-) !!!!
