somewhere. It's a good thing to get right, but you can shim a smaller
one out, harder to go the other way!

I would have guessed that your seatpost was 27.2mm but not sure what the
outer measurement would be (don't you have a vernier??). I would say go for
the bigger one as you could always put a strip of rubber inside it if it is
too big.

Failing that, you could adjust the limit screw on your front deraillieur
properly and then you probably wouldn't need the dog fang.

Yeah, but it's a triple -- it's got to suck 🙂

I've adjusted it from a reasonable distance all the way to where the
chain is almost, but not quite rubbing up against the derailler when
in the front small back big combo.

OK, so a few weeks ago, I left my wallet at work. Then last week, the
keys (and had to get my lock smashed by RACV bike assist). Tonight, I
had yet another flat (absolutely now reason for this one -- phantom!),
so took the panniers off.... and left them off. Didn't notice til I
got to the shop. No use going shopping if you don't have your money
with me (hey, at least I had the keys!)

I am now positive I sustained brain damage in the last hit I had.

In related news, that PLUG guy I mentioned earlier -- he's going to be
an induced coma for the next 5 days, and so they won't know whether he
has brain damage etc til then. Damn.

ahha, it's not something with serious tolerances then. Shimming out
from a smaller tube won't be an issue. Get the one that's a touch too
large, after you've measured it with a vernier. *hint* you can get a
cheap but accurate enough plastic vernier from most car parts shops,
and maybe even places like bunnings.
