  1. Does anyone know if CK classic hubs are 10 speed compatable?. Their
    website only says 8/9...Thanks.

    The spline spacing on 10 speed Shimano works OK on Chris King. CK uses aluminum freehub body as standard, but has Stainless Steel as a extra cost option. You may need a 1 mm spacer with the 10 speed cogset as they are ~ 1 mm thinner than 9 speed.

    get the stainless - the aluminum hub bodies get mangled because the
    splines aren't deep enough to take the load. ridiculous for a hub
    costing so much.

    As I understand it, when it comes to compatibility, 8/9=10, at least
    for Shimano cassettes. TTBOMK, the only place in the 8/9/10 Shimano
    range where there's a compatibility issue is with the latest of the
    10s Shimano Dura Ace hubs, which have a taller spline that disallows
    the use of anything but the DA 10s cassettes.
