39BPM.
Your resting rate is the heart rate one hour before you wake up, *not* your heart rate when you're
awake and sitting down!
Think I might argue with this. Unless you have a method of recording your sleeping heart rate, this
definition is next to useless.
A more typical definition from the net would be:
"This is a person's heart rate at rest. The best time to find out your resting heart rate is in the
morning, after a good night's sleep, and before you get out of bed."
Now I would agree that the moment you wake, you are not truly "resting" but that's probably as near
a resting heart rate as any of us are ever going to be able to measure.
Incicdentally, I can't find a single net reference to "one hour before you wake up". I would
personally guess that your *lowest* rate would be around 2 - 3 in the morning when your cortisol
levels are at their lowest.
