I need to splice in about an extra 6 inches to my wheel sensor wire going to a Flight Deck computer. It appears to be 2 conductor (insulated conductor and bare shield). I assume both conductors are used? Any ideas where to get such thin wire like this?

I don't know where to get such wire, but I did try and fix my sensor wire after I accidentally cut it. Now maybe I'm just not good enough, but I simply could not fix it. Too small, too delicate and probably too sensitive to interference. Anyway, I had to buy a whole new harness.
But, good luck if you try, Don

If you locate a source for thin (round) two conductor wire in bulk please let us know. I have looked and the best thing I have come up with is buying a monural earphone extension cord from Radio Shack (Cat # 33-176, 20 feet for $4) and cutting it up as necessary then soldering and covering the joint with heat shrink tubing.

Thanks for the good stop gap tip DR and will look around for a bulk source for you.
try www.mouser.com
You may need to order a calalog to get enough information to order the right thing, or the sales staff may be more helpfule than they were a decade ago when I dealt with them.
