I can't find any joy in the Olympics this year. It's become another
pharmaceutical advertisement. Not to mention - I can't remember when
ice skaters dropped out of the Olympics AT the Olympics. Win or quite -
the new sportsmanship and the reason that the Olympics were only valid
for Amateurs.

Maybe it is step aside and let someone else have a legitimate chance
at their medal, even if it is a very outside chance at a bronze. An
Olympic experience is probably more important to a young person at the
start of their international career than a multiple world champion
that has been there twice before and wasn't expected to win even if
healthy.

Well, I understand all that. But I still liked the Olympics a whole lot more
when it wasn't a bunch of jaded professional athletes.

The Silver medal performance of (Canadian) skiers Becky Scott and Sara
Renner - and that of a member of a contending team - in the

I hopes he delights in the silver medal as much as Becky and Sara. He

I can't argue with that. I haven't watched much of the Olympics since
the overt pros started to predominate - Winter or Summer. Most of what
I've seen in the last 10 years or so is what my wife is watching when
I run out of things to do on the computer. A good time to have a drink
and focus on the bourbon.
