For Masters 35+ 4/5 racing and Elites 4/5 racing(still don't know why they call it Elites), do you think it's possible to race a 20+ year old bicycle in flat criteriums.....and actually do well. For instance, I have an old Vitus(1982 or 1983) with Campy Nuovo Record on it, and I have an old 1982 Colnago with a combination of Campy Super Record and Nuovo Record on it. Just for kicks, I'd like to race one of these old bikes in a flat criterium just to see how it would do. Any ideas.....especially when comparing to the new stuff nowadays?

Wow, Nuovo and Super Records on 80s bikes! What you have there my friend are the most sought after Record groups next to C-Record w/Deltas.
Anyways... both would do fine - what is impt. is the engine.
