  1. Hi, folks! Have any of you ever participated in an event with Team In Training? I just signed up for the Lake Tahoe century ride with TNT. Here is the ride website, for those who would like to check it out:

If you're at Tahoe, and see me out there, come up and say hi!

    Thanks,
    Steve

  2. Never done a Team in Training event, but I have friends that have done running events. They were very impressed with the quality of coaching and support. The ride around Lake Tahoe is a memorable one. Just be careful out there, because there's mostly no shoulder to ride on and the occasional bike paths are a waste of time. That climb up to Emerald Bay Road is a bit of a challenge too. Good luck and have fun!

I did El Tour De Tucson in Nov with TNT, along with my brother in law, and loved every minute of it. Not only is it a great cause, but it really throws you into the sport head first. I had never done any long distance riding, 25 miles in one stretch being the farthest, and I completed Tucson right at 9hr. Tucson is 109miles though. Anyway as you can tell from my tag line I'm a big guy, so if they can coach me to be able to complete the ride anyone can do it. Not only did I find a passion for cycling because of it, but it's for a great cause. I've made some wonderful friends and been on some very beautiful rides. I was excited about TNT that my wife signed up for Tahoe. I'm riding in Tahoe but only as a TNT alumni, someone has to watch the kids on during the training rides. Tahoe should be beautiful. My wife, brother and father in law, and 2 of my friends are also doing Tahoe. Look for the TNT riders with boxes of Raisins on our helmets, Fresno Team, and that's us. Enjoy the training.
