I am looking at the Serfas pump. FP200. On the description it says "Integrated air release valve located on pump head". What is that?
When you 'unlock' the valve after pumping, do you lose a lot of pressure? How can you be sure the PSI is where you want it to be?
Im pretty sure that means it has a button so you can let air out of the tire might be handy if you use shraeder valves.

If you're using Presta valves, you don't lose any pressure when you take the pump head off. As soon as the seal between the pump and the valve stem breaks, the pressure differential between the tire and the atmosphere snaps the valve closed imediately. My guess with the pressure release button is that if you acidentally over inflate the tire it lets you bleed off some air without having to take the pump head off of the valve.
