  1. I wanted to buy some leather toe straps. OK I haven't tried all the cycle shops in this town but the
    two I went to only had those webbing type ones that refuse, in my experience, to tighten up. Can you
    still buy leather toe straps?

    Both offer toe straps. Since the toe straps in the Rivendell catalog are made in Italy, you should
    be able to find them in the EU somewhere, instead of paying to have them shipped from California.
    The leather/nylon laminate makes for a very durable strap, if you haven't already found this out.
