Ive got an avanti hammer mtb, with a radially spoked front wheel. Recently it has been making creaking noises. I thought it was just a loose spoke but they all seem to have about the same tension. Are radially spoked wheels meant to be super tight??
I have also noticed that the spokes all have some whitish corrosion around the nipples could this have something to do with it??
Any ideas??

Are you sure the spoke holes on the rim don't have stress cracks? Clean the wheels and look closely. Have the spoke tension tested at a bike shop. They should do it for free.
