Tyres. Again.

So, I've just worn out another Conti GP3000 4-season, and
am not particularly impressed by its life or its puncture
resistance, nor yet its price tag.

To be fair, I'm commuting in London, so it's not really the
design use, but what should I be using given that I want
something skinny (700c*25ish) and, preferably, folding?

Recommendations for Marathons have been duly noted but
they're bigger and heavier than I really want: Marathon
Racers maybe? Anyone used them?

I've been using Michelin Megamiums on my commuter hack for a while. No
punctures so far, and they are folding tyres. They're fine for Lincoln, but
I do not know how well they'd stand up to the mean streets of London.

Parker International sell them reasonably cheaply.

I am currently on Bontrager Racelights having them on a Trek I was given. I
was expecting them to have punctured by now, but they're still OK. Still too
early to recommend though.

The Contis ride quite nicely, but I've had more punctures than
I'm keen on with them. To be fair, the last couple did come once
the rear rubber had been worn down to the casing in a few places,
but though I don't keep a record of mileage I reckon I'd probably
done less than about 2500 miles - maybe I'm being naive in
wanting more life than that.

Coincidentally, this month's Cycling Plus looks at commuting
tyres and seems to rate both the Marathon Racer and a Michelin
quite highly - I think I'll give them a go.

I'm on Panaracer Paselas on the fixer. Seem OK.

Try the Continental GP4000 tyres. Apparently they last alot longer than
the 3000.
