Messenger bag idea

I sometimes use a messenger bag when I run errands or go shopping. I also
like to ride at night, at which time I wear a reflective/LED vest. If I wear
the messenger bag it obscures the rear of the vest. I can hang a blinkie on
the bag but it's not the same as a reflective vest with active lighting. I
think my ideal bag would have a row of LEDs bordered by 3" wide reflective
tape. If we wanted to get fancy, the LEDs could be arranged so that
scrolling messages could be displayed in the daytime, programmable. I think
flashing LEDs would be better at night. Kind of geeky, maybe, but I would
surely buy it.

It wouldn't be hard to either sew or glue reflective material on the
bag you already have so why buy another? Unless of course you simply
*want* a new one. I guess even geeks can be acquisitive. <g>

Many messenger bags (like my own) are equipped with reflective trim as
a matter of course. To enhance visibility reflective 'tails' are
available[1]; another option is to adorn you bag with pant bands[2].

I should have mentioned that my current bag was a freebie from Nissan. It's
an Ogio, but it's not really designed for use on a bike. It has no chest
strap, and tends to rotate around me. I was looking to get a better one.
