Anybody know why Galdeano was shaking his head after the time trial? Was he shaking his head at that
teammate of his that slowed down at the last minute?

Speculation, but I think it was because he moved to the front too early to be the first one across
the line, and started to fade. With team orders that IGdG is to be the first maillot de oro, Hruska
(or whomever it was) had to visibly slow down to let IGdG cross the line first ... ONCE probably
would have finished a few seconds faster without everyone hitting the brakes at the end ...

It's the time of the fifth rider that count, so that mean nothing. But now it the "captain", who is
under press, from the other teams.

  10. Quaranta quit on top of the hill, 3 kms into this Vuelta. Still not over his Tour non-selection.

For Fassa, Aitor G. punctured in the last K, and the first four dashed on for a while before
noticing, only one teammate waited for him. But they already had mediocre intermediate times.

TV commentators said Aitor has hinted Perez (Cof) is the dark horse for this vuelta.

At QSD I noticed they had a hard time keeping Boonen's wheel at the end. Boonen will come strong out
of the Vuelta, but will find few opportunities in the coming weeks, being a bit too heavy for the
climbing menu. Unless he keeps on improving in the sprints.

  11. And I just read all Relax riders start today. Most problematic is leader Santi Blanco, whose wounds
impair the sight of one eye.

  12. Mario was on a plane home before sign in this am.... sad.
