Don't get me wrong; It is hard to beat pedal power but be honest, half
of you really want one of these! His seat is too low but he is wearing
gloves and a helmet.

Maybe the caption below the picture should say something like
"Non-professional ride on non-closed course. Do not attempt at home" Now
if only he were in a more aero position.

That's pretty smart, riding an uninspected, unregistered motor vehicle on a
public street while spewing flames. I also have a lot of 35 year old
experience with model rocket engines. About 1 in 40 have a small fracture
or flaw of some kind in the nozzle. Believe me, there's a very good reason
they want you to launch those things by remote control 20 feet away and not
anywhere near your ass.
I knew a guy in Florida from some other HPV group who did this trick the
smart way. He strapped on a cordless leaf blower and took a ride on his
Trikke. He was pulled over by the cops, but they couldn't cite him because
the vehicle itself was unmotorized and the speed limit on the road was 50;
and so now this guy has the world Trikke speed record at 45 MPH, beating
the previous record of 17 MPH.

Not at all. Buried somewhere in the Yahoo kickbiking discussion group is
the story, possibly a link to a news article in a local Florida paper.
Don't ask me to explain what kickbiking is, please.

For some reason I read that as "kickboxing". Kickbiking? I'll google.
thanks.
