Being the MTB magazine icon that I am, this is old news. He announced this back in January. I
believe they combined it with Bicycling magazine, but not sure. It was one of the titles that was
mostly road bikes that they were going to combine it with.

rare to find a magazine totally driven by advertisers, with *no* independent thought or unbiased

Such self-deprecation hardly suits you. Your columns in Velonews and BRAIN are far and away among
the best industry commentary there is. I guess a comparison could be made to medeival court jesters.
They were allowed to say anything, even if it offended the king, under special right of free speech.
That way the king wouldn't only ever hear the yes-men sycophants.

On another note that should be dear to your heart, myself and a handful of other SoCal promoters
have formed a real, honest-to-god 'cross race series down here. Check the website (not much there
now, but more is coming soon) at www.socalCX.org. We would be extremely happy to have a Bog-Trotter
cartoon on the site (hint, hint).

Fart noises, anti-industry diatribes... it's a a matter of perspective, I guess. Thanks for the
offer of a 'toon. It'll give us a class and legitamacy we sorely lack. Besides, the website is way
short on content, and anything will help. Thanks also for the plug. This is a first-year effort,
