Did my last one in 4 hours, 16 min, fast depends on you & your group. That one was done with a fast group, the one a month before was done almost all solo, and took 5 1/4 hours.

16 MPH up hills, or overall on hilly rides? If it's up hills, and they're real hills (7% plus) then you're a monster and I'm afraid of you.

I'm a non-competitive, recreational rider. I do maybe 8-10 centuries a year, and a few longer rides. My centuries vary from 6 - 9 hours, depending on terrain and when in the season they come up. A fast flat century for me might be 5 hours on the bike, plus an hour eating or waiting in line at porta-potties.

    Good luck,

  4. thanx guys

Are you doing the Flattest Century in the East? I'm doing that one too, and I hope to finish in under 7 hours, including stops. But it does depend on other facotrs such as headwinds and how fast my group is riding.

Given that the original poster uses mph for his speed measurement, I'm guessing he means 100 miles, or around 160.9km.

(tip - try entering "100 miles to kilometers" into Google's search box some time)

Florida, flat but very window, headwind back. There was a group back faster then mine, lots of CAT1 & Cat2 racers.
