What gets me is some of these lifetime guarantees require the original
receipt. Now that is fine and dandy but heck after 10 years, how many
people can actually find that receipt? Then some want original
packaging. Yeah, right! We'd have to build an outbuilding just to hold
all the original packaging.

The only "lifetime guarantee" that's worth anything is the one for
Craftsman tools - with the name Craftsman stamped right on the tool,
you don't need a receipt or a package - walk into Sears with a broken
hand tool, walk out with a brand-new one. If they don't have the exact
model you broke, they'll give you the next upgrade, free. (This
doesn't apply to their power tools which are generally [censored].)

We have the "outbuilding" aka "The Shed" (DH never throws anything like
packaging away and said shed is full of it)... However, the original
receipt could really be a problem 😉

I wasn't after a warranty replacement. We have had this set for 18
years, and I broke one several years ago and wanted to complete the set
again. Is this company still in business?
