What Time? are newcommers welcome? sounds interesting
I have been going to the goat a bit, enjoy the novelty of being "welcome" at a beer drinking venue on a bike (not game to go to my local pub on the bike for fear of abuse)

Nah, we meet typically about 7:00pm. Sometimes 20 or so minutes
later, as I found out on my first time, and looked around and couldn't
see any cyclist looking people.

Another bike friendly place, I discovered one day after a Mass, was
the Tote. Everyone just piles them in the toilet, which can't be
legal.

I wish I had time and patience to get into home brewing. Looking on
the www.liquorcraft.com.au website that I earlier pointed 'soiler to,
I found allsorts of interesting things to brew. Like alcoholic
lemonade. Various ginger beers from scratch (already had a friend's
kit ginger beer).

I am intrigued and tempted by the sound of Goat and WoJ but alas my place of work and abode both being in Ferntree Gully makes it a challenge. Perhaps next time with a bit of planning I may be able to get out of the sticks and into the big smoke...

Train to Hawthorn, then it's a brisk walk to the brewery. Easy, if a
little bit steep for the fare.

Haven't you ever done the running start - run along beside the bike, then
jump aboard, praying bits are well forward? I'm just glad more enduros are
