My initial thoughts are that it sounds a fitting thing to do.
I did think of a minute's silence on Sunday; although this could be misconstrued as just another p*****re; I'll be riding a reliability trial along similar roads. But a black armband will convey the same message. Nice idea.
No-one has done a black wristband as far as I know. Perhaps a

The tragedy in Wales received such large coverage becasue it was rare enough to be news. Wearing black wristbands, armbands, or whatever, will convice people that it is normal.
"There are already several companies specializing in anti-wristband wristbands, including Archie McPhee & Co., which sells black bands that feature the seven deadly sins, along with the words APATHY and NIHILISM."
Actually, the current Archie McPhee deadly sin bands aren't black (although I'm pretty sure they used to have black ones): <URL:http://www.mcphee.com/items/M6133.html>

See my other post (which I sent before reading yours) - the seven deadly sins ones come in assorted colours, but there are "bleak" ones that come in black and white.
Archie McPhee has some other great stuff, too - such as bacon air fresheners and smoking baby dolls.

I don't know. You can order it from McPhee online but have to place a minimum order of $50 for delivery overseas. Mind you, I could easily find $50 worth of stuff I want on that site... just look at the Avenging Unicorn Play Set, for example - how great is that?
