My neice has been diagnosed with a severe reaction to MSG additves in food. My question is...is there a "home" test that she can do herself on food when eating out( or anywhere for that matter) that will let her know if there is any MSG in the food? Something like test strips that change color?

But I would rather try to avoid foods that are known to contain MSG - there is a lot of information on that available online (http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~lrd/msg.html for instance).
Test strips would come in handy when eating out of course.
What symptoms does she have to MSG? Can you say more please?
TIA, Arbor
