Hi All,
Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I need a little help on the Carb
content of foods. When choosing foodstuffs i obviously note the carb
content, and i know that fibre carbs can be subtracted from that figure,
but some labels have something similar to the following;
Carbs........... 5.0g
(of which sugars)0.8g
Fibre........... 3.3g
Does this mean that for the purposes of this way of eating i should take
the carb content to be 1.7g (Carb - Fibre) or is it only the carbs from
sugars (0.8g) which are relevant?
Or in fact if i am completely mistaken i would appreciate being put on
the right road, and sincerest apologies if this has been done to death
on here.
Many thanks for all your help and efforts.
Happy New Year to all
