coast connection pointed out to me that Supergo had the Marzocchi Marathon S on sale for $320. I
couldn't pass it up.

I've been in "the Bomberhood" for a couple of years now, and still haven't gotten a newsletter or
complimentary handjob. Maybe you could elaborate as to why you made the decision (other than the
"bomberhood" thing).

Congratulazioni! First get a 100psi shock pump. The Marathon uses low pressure and small increments
in pressure make big changes. 300psi pumps just don't have the resolution you need to tune this
fork. Second after riding this fork for a while you may notice the negative chamber spewing oil or
the fork is stuck down into it's travel. I've just rebuilt the fork at this time, cleaned out the
negative cartridge and put it back together with Bel-Ray 7wt fork oil. Good as new. Enjoy the fork!

they're easy to beat. You can beat them regularly and they still work. The only more reliable fork
I've tried is pure-elastometer - it works like a pogo stick for years and years.

I had a '97 Judy XC that came with my Voodoo that worked great. I never touched any of the
adjustments, and it never bottomed out (I'm pretty much XC only). The worst mistake I made
concerning those forks were to yank the guts out of it, and put thos &$% air cartridges in it for
the sake of losing weight. I never could get the adjusment right, and on really hard hits, it would
kick back on me in a really bad way that created some control issues.
