Yes it has. It's the little red glass window above the Polar logo.

thanks for the reply,
that's the thing, the watch doesn't have the window!!!
If you see it you will know what I mean.
the watch does have the IR function, but I cant find the window!!!...
Below is a link to the French site for the watch, they are the same watch,
but where is the window???

It is there Gerald. You have to look very closely because the casing of
the watch has almost the same color as the IR window.
