  1. Today's walk was up to Loughrigg Fell from Rydal - a bit of a grey day
really accompanied by light snow flurries throughout the walk (Crinkles
and Bow Fell have a covering of snow for anyone that is heading there).
Nice place for a swim though (and no, not for me!).

    Regards,
    Sean

Gorgeous! I nipped in to have a look at your new year photos as well,
and decided that even if I never so much as look at a ski (which I
probably won't) I /have/ to visit 'proper' mountains sometime. Thanks,
    Sean.

The snow flurries turned to rain at lower levels with the clouds
closing in by the time I left Rydal, so it may be just as well you
    saved it for another day.

Well worth a visit, Fran - we had some brilliantly clear weather and
    there was a great cable
car tour (if you didn't want to ski) to Chamonix over high ground.

I tried to ski down a dry slope once. I had to have a man on each arm
to hold me up and another holding the skis to stop them running away
with me. I think I'll take the cable car, thanks :-)
