  1. Can anyone recommend some really great single day event rides in the US. I have done The Assault on Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina and the Triple Bypass in Colorado. Looking for other similar sufferfests.🙂

  2. Here's a link to rides in the Western US, primarily California.

  4. Well, they are over for the year, but the STP in Seattle. Its a double century, and lots of guys do it in one day. There's a ride in the Portland, Oregon area called the Torture 10,000. Ten thousand feet of vertical in just over a century. They might fit the bill 😉

I have heard of the STP, but not the Torture 10,000. Being somewhat of a masochist, I love the sound of it. Thanks

I have been looking at this event for a couple of years now. It will have to be accomplished at some point. Need to do it while I am still relatively young.

  8. Well - it's a little late, but the 6 gap century in Dahlonega, Ga is this weekend. It is a century with over 10000 feet of vertical. It is usually the last weekend of Sept. Check out their website and plan on next year.

Thanks, it looks like a real challenge, maybe we will see you there next year.
