Can anyone recommend some really great single day event rides in the US. I have done The Assault on Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina and the Triple Bypass in Colorado. Looking for other similar sufferfests.🙂

Well, they are over for the year, but the STP in Seattle. Its a double century, and lots of guys do it in one day. There's a ride in the Portland, Oregon area called the Torture 10,000. Ten thousand feet of vertical in just over a century. They might fit the bill 😉

Well - it's a little late, but the 6 gap century in Dahlonega, Ga is this weekend. It is a century with over 10000 feet of vertical. It is usually the last weekend of Sept. Check out their website and plan on next year.
