  1. A test of potential members would be done. If they improperly do any
of the following, two hugh dudes will pick them up by the arms and
    toss them out!

    1) Finished a set, you leave the weights on and don't rack.

    2) Some hard core lifter is pumping out reps and he/she is 20 feet
from the mirrored wall. You go and stand 10 ft away in front of
    him/here.

    3) You workout arms and chest, nothing else.

    4) You have been going to the gym for years and still look like you
    don't work out.

    5) On Usenet you talk like you know your [censored] but you are the guy in
    #4.

    6) You circut train and hog 3 areas and aren't willing to share. You
also [censored] more than you lift.

    7) You yell and scream when doing a set and then drop the weights so
    the floor shakes.

    Feel free to add

  2. A subpoint under #3 - If your biceps are bigger than calves you aren't
allowed to work out the upper body.

#8 - You do bicep curls in the squat rack

Why wouldn't you leave the weights on if you were going to do another
    set?

I'll occasionally yell or more likely, a guttural roar, while pulling
a max effort deadlift and then I free fall with the weight and then
the floor shakes when the bar hits. What's the problem.

I work in gyms all over the place... 90% of them don't give you anyplace
to lift *except* in front of a mirror.

Exercise is a dirty word. Whenever I hear it, I wash my mouth out with

  7. Another point. Mirrors can help you focus as well as monitor your form;
unless offcourse you have a workout partner. And Hugh is right about
mirrors being everywhere. John where the heck do you work out?

I saw a National Geographic special "Maximum Security" and there were
no mirrors around the weight stack in the yard.

I have 7 workout partners on my team which just happens to be the best
masters team in the country in my opinion thank you very much:-)

    So, no mirrors necessary?

I don't think you answered the question.

I *know* you didn't state where your work out, but, hey, that's your
prerogative. Still, there ARE mirrors where you train, right?

Regardless, the 5x5 in fifteen minutes (mentioned elsewhere in this
    ng)? Hella impressive.

Doesn't mean you're not a jerk, of course. Jerk.

Yes, there are mirrors. But, we have our own corner of the gym where
we have OUR weights, OUR bench, Our squat racks and OUR deadlift
platform. Why? Because we are special, that's why. And, we don't
have mirrors there! Actually, it's one of my teammates that is
special and that's why we have our own corner of the gym. I was just
lucky enough to have been asked to join the team.

Yeah, well, it was only 285.

Granted. And, by your long winded posts tonight that I scrolled
through and didn't bother to read, you are a loser who needs to find a
    more productive outlet than Usenet.

That just sounds so God damn funny, John. Say that out loud and see if
you don't laugh. I am. Aaaah, that's cool, though, too.

    "WHY? BECAUSE WE ARE ~*SPECIAL!!!*~"

And we walked backwards in snow to get to this special gym with no

    special stuff, too.

    And we like it!

How is your teammate special? Credit where credit is due. Let's have
some public praise here for your teammate. Seriously.

Well, now that's the first truly *special* thing I've read from you,
John. You being humble. Grateful. Genuine. As much [censored] as I give you
for being a jerk, that was very nice to read. Good on you.

re 5x5 front squats in fifteen minutes

Yeah, well, it was only 285.

Only? Sez you. I say it's hella impressive.

Not so. And you're looking too closely. I write for my enjoyment. This
is an exercise equal to anything in the gym. Quickness, cleverness,
calculated responses. It's very much like verbal, okay, text-based,
    chess (checkers for you, sorry).

But, you made me laugh again. LOSER must be your most
    favorite-estestest word in the universe.

Happy New Year, Hanson. Now suck it up and get 315 for a 5x5, you
    wimp. ;o)

Oh, and another thing, dumbass, we lift USAPL/IPF. We have the
strictest lifting standards and we have the best drug testing in the
world. Now go harass a little old lady waiting for a bus.

    Oh, and another thing, dumbass,

See? Squabblesome and childish. Namecalling, John, is childish. I
thought you said you *weren't* childish. Did I get that wrong? You,
suddenly, see namecalling as mature behavior?

Hey, do you literally *froth* as you type this stuff? Are you grinding
your teeth? Just wondering. Because that's the distinct impression I'm
    getting from you.

    Overwrought.

Okay, okay. So you're proud of your federation or league or whatever
it is. Let me Google. Because, hell, you're too busy frothing to offer
basic information in a calm manner.

    IPF: International Powerlifting Federation
    <http://www.powerlifting-ipf.com/>

    USAPL: USA Powerlifting <http://www.usapowerlifting.com/>

There. Was that so difficult? Just look at how easy that was.

But, hey, I take it you're not a diplomat. What was your job again?

Never mind. I don't have time to read that. Much too busy storming
around and killing this newsgroup, according to you anyway.

Right. What did I just say about childish? Yes.

But you're just so positively matuuuuuure, Johnny!
