Gotcha

  1. Last year I failed to complete Mullach Fraoch-coire after doing A' Chralaig
    due to lots of snow and almost zero visibility. If you remember we ended up
    on a pinnacle and could see no way to proceed.

    Yesterday I got back to it and got to the top. I saw the section that
    stopped us last time, it was passable on a path to the side which must have
    been obliterated by snow on the last attempt. There was at least one other
    passable sections that we had climbed over last time.
    Yesterday was very cold but still no snow on top. Visibility appeared to be
    a million miles, what a view.
    It's amazing what you can accomplish when you can actually see what you are
    doing.

    By the rules published by the powers that be, p12, para2:

    "Once a route be started for the purposes of inclusion on a list of
    ticks, if that attmept is unseccessful, the original and intended
    route must be followed on all subsequent attempts"

    Besides... a snow bash is much more fun :-)

    Right, I'm going back tomorrow. I am in a real quandry now as I cannot
    remember if I went via Beauly on my first visit or through Inverness :-(
