I was surprised at the 3 days walking time, even at my modest pace, i think
2 days is adequate for 26miles at low level.

It depends both on the amount of ascent on the walk and the target
population. A tightwad like me would scurry past all the opportunities
for wasting money and get round in a day provided the amount of ascent
was modest but then I might be old and decrepit but I am unlikely to be
attracted by a low level walk in the first place.

But how low would it be? They gave no info on the likely route. Would it
follows the roads and/or rivers around Snowdon? Or would they cut some
higher paths into the steep hillsides?

No idea but it would have to go up to some 1200 feet ASL to get over
Pen-y-pass and if it is going to be as long as 26 miles it would have to
remain on the whole fairly low. To do the whole circuit by car would be
about 29 miles according to a handy piece of string.

Looking at the map there is a handy footpath from Pen-y-pass down
Nantgwynant but that doesn't even reach as far as Lyn Dinas. Beddgelert
itself can be easily bypassed (as if) but other opportunities for off
road walking (excluding forest tracks) are scant before Betws Garmon
from where there is a low(ish) level path to Llanberis. The rest of the
round would be even more tricky to plan as the valley narrows as it
approached the summit of the pass.

Hafod-y-Llan that joined the lane that leads to the PO at Bethania. Not
used it for a couple of years so don't know if it is still is available

being dragged (kicking and screaming) into HO in 1993.

path on the black dashes as that went via the rocky outcrop on the
lakeside (excellent lunch spot).

Rhyd Ddu then via blue pool and Castell Cidwm to the hotel then by the

as there's nowt but sheeptracks ATM. Should be possible to have a
reasonable path either side of the road though. I'd prefer on the Yr
Wyddfa side of the road to both keep out of the valley bottom and get
some views towards the lower slopes of the Y Glyderau massif (mist
permitting) ;-)
