  1. Okay I dont know how I ended up like this but basically I got a little
depressed when my grandfather passed away, and instead of doing stupid
things. I just focused myself on school. I wasent eating very well and
it finally caught up to me. My family has no history of eating
disorders, but I think I got one since I was depressed. For the last 2
months I was barely eating and it finally caught up to me. I woke up
one day and my heart started to pound really fast and loud. I dropped
10 lbs in 2 months. I went to the doctor and she said nothing was
wrong with me. No anemia nothing.

The problems I have is that.... I feel my pulse on my hands and feet
very intense, and somewhat of a blurry vision.? She took blood and
things and said everything was normal.

Could the lack of nutrition I had the past 2 months be the cause of
    this?

I asked a person who is majoring in nursing and they suggest Cod Liver
Oil to open my apettite, and for the last week I have been using it and
eating like a pig.So I'l slowly getting back to my original weight
    118lbs.

Is there something else I can take? I purchased Centrum vitamins, but I
dont think they are doing well.

What I'm asking is is there anything that can help me? How long does it
take to get over this? I'm just a little annoyed, because I dont want
to miss my next semester in college.

I kinda feel like my body is weak, and when I do eat, I get a feeling
    like I'm getting tickled..

THANKS for listening and sorry for the long post.

How much alcohol are you drinking?

  3. There are many things you have not disclosed, such as what is your diet
like now (and how many calories consumed) versuss what it used to be.
The cod liver oil is toxic, and it will suppress your thyroid, leading
to weight gain, but in a very unhealthy way. I lost at least 30 pounds
within half a year, and was only perhaps 132/133 to begin with. It
seems to have been related to lack of stomach acid, which was
exacerbated by my "vegan" diet, so you could try stomach acid and
pepsin supplements. If you feel a warm or burning sensation, that
means that is not a problem, and you can just drink water to neutralize
    it.

You should make sure you are getting good quality protein, without any
unhealthy trappings (like oxidized cholesterol) so boiled eggs are
good, as is raw, organic cheese. I found that ice cream seems to help
    weight gain especially.

If you were tested for all kinds of problems, such as anemia, I'll bet
they did not do a simple orthostatic hypotension test. You can do it
yourself, if you can take your pulse and blood pressure. Lie down flat
for at least 20 minutes, then take your pulse and BP, then stand up and
walk around a little, but keep it very leisurely; no brisk walking, for
at least 5 minutes. Then take pulse and BP again. If BP goes down
while pulse goes up, this is your problem. You may be hypovolemic, so
you will need to drink more. Tropical fruit juice with no additives
seems to work best (make sure they don't put apple juice or grape juice
in there, just the tropical fruit).

Try out these suggestions and then post back here to tell us what
happened. If this doesn't work, and you supply more details, we can
    take it from there.

  5. montygram ......

She did all the tests and said I was normal. no anemia, no mono , no
nothing. I just feel really weak, because I dropped like 10-15 lbs. I
ended up being 105lbs from 120. I just feel like my eye sight is weak
and my body is weak (Like I feel my pulse throughout my body intense at
some points throughout the day, and my body gets weird pains.. Ever
since I started to eat I feel a little better and I must say the cod
liver oil has helped me with my eyesight. Its not 100% but its better
than it was last week. Is there any other supplemnets I can take? This
is not a panic attack. I guess its the heart working faster than it
should be because I'm so weak. The doctor said I'm fine, but I told my
parents I would see another doctor if it dosent go away in a few weeks
    before my spring semester starts.
Thank you for your reply to both of you ... 😉

    Happy New Year

  6. I still need to know the answers to the questions I asked in the last
post. Provide all the basics: gender, age, family history, diet,
medications, supplements, lifestyle choices, etc. Did you check for
orthostatic hypotension? This is a secondary problem, but it can cause
    fatigue, headache, lightheadedness, etc.

  7. Yes, I woudn't be surprised if the emotional was a root cause, but then
what happens at the molecular/celluar level? PLA2 is generated and
releases AA, which is then metabolized into LTB4, etc., so a stressor
is a stressor - no difference, except in the amount of LTB4, the cells
involved, etc. There are dietary choices that make one much more
resilient to stressors, which is a main point I have been making on
this newsgroup for years now. Moreover, there is no harm in
considering physical explanations, but more information is needed at
    this point.

  8. Just to update you guys ...

I dont want to go back to that doctor because she is annoying me.

Looks like I wont make it to my spring semester that starts the 23rd.

I feel very weak and she dosent understand, she thinks I'm making
    things up..

Well like I said due to myself losing so much weight, thats why I think
this happened. I dropped to 105, and I read somewhere online that ,
that could be consider anorexic. When she weight me she didnt say
    anything about me being 105lbs.

I feel like I am hungry all the time. I am constantly eating. For the
past 2 weeks that I started to eat, I feel my body is more stronger,
although I still feel weak. I can still feel my pulse from various
areas of my body but they are not that strong as they were 2-3 weeks
    ago. THANK GOD !!

I talked to a nurse major,(whom I've known since high school) and it
sounded to her like I'm going through what an anorexic person goes
    through.

It shocks me that my doctor didn't notice anything ? I even asked her
for a strong vitamin, and she just said take centrum. (But we all know
    that vitamin is [censored])

Well the thing that helped me a lot is the Cod Liver Oil and I'm eating
foods rich in protein,fruits,veggies.. I try to eat liver 2-3 times a
week. Just keep me in your prayers...Happy New Years to all !
