Personal Record aka Personal Best.

In other words your personal best time for a given distance.

Personal Record = PR also some people say Personal Best, but nobody uses PB for that. So anytime you
go faster than you have ever done before, it's your PR.

thanks for the clarifications. I've always heard Personal Best. Not Personal Record.

Anyway, speaking of personal records ...did my very first Tri at Accenture Chicago this past Sunday.
Int'l. distance. Excellent day. Early wave, so beat the heat. Couldn't have asked for a better day,
or better results. Expected to finish 3:30 - 4:00, and came in at
3:08:32. Had a much stronger run than I had expected. Even beat my normal 10k pace. Guess that's my
own PR! :-)

Gotta give some credit to this board. I read on here quite frequently, post on occasion, and have
read a lot of good advice, and some pretty funny, out-there posts as well. Good group, this RST.

Must be country specific. In Oz "PB" is used pretty much exclusively
- swimming and athletics. I was watching the Worlds Athletics this morning and "PB" was used a
number of times. I'd never heard of "PR" until I discovered this NG. "Great countries divided by a
common language"
