  1. How much should I expect to pay for spokes?

(I know that's a loaded question, but just an average...)

    Thanks,

    -Bob

  2. If you're buying them one at a time, DT or Wheelsmith db spokes
shouldn't be more than $0.50 to $1.00 each.

Singletons at my LBS are $1 each for straight gauge, $2 for double
butted. More than two or three, check out Nashbar for much better deals.

Butted (DB, Competition, Race) about $1.00 each, skinny butted (XL,
Revolution, Laser) about $1.50 each, blades from $2.50 - $3.00 each. For
black, add about $0.50 each. Brass nips about $0.05 each, aluminum nips
    about $0.25 each. . .

Yikes! Does your LBS fly a Jolly Roger outside the shop?

Check this place out if you are buying a bunch of them:

    http://oddsandendos.safeshopper.com/20/cat20.htm?79

They charge $6 shipping per order.

My LBS sells straight guage DT spokes for 50 cents a piece... a good
    deal in my opinion.

Arrrrrrrgh... Why does ye ask, maytee?

Excel had some good deals on closeout 15g oval spokes, otherwise I
    concur with the Nashbar suggestion.

yeegads, I'm raising my spoke prices!!!!

    DT 14/15-$.60 w/ a brass nipp

    Revs-$.75 with a brass nipp

    Black, add $.15 per spoke

I get good prices from a great spoke supplier, use a normal margin..can
buy (and sell) onesies and twosies....

    $1 for a 14/15 spoke?...that is higher than keystone!!

About 50 cents for a DT double butted spoke.
