So, we is gettin' inta dis cab the other night, see?
The cabbie says something about wearing a beanie because he has to get in and out of the car all the time and if he didn't he'd get the flu. He then mentions something about not turning the heat on high because you should gradually warm up, otherwise, you'll get the flu!
Right, so what I want to know is:
Are large-ish temperature changes bad for moi or is it an old wive's tale?
If I'm outside in 1degC and enter a much hotter home (ours is normally superheated to 25+ thanks to sooks who can't take a little cold..) will I be increasing my risk of illness, cold symptoms, etc. or not?
If I exercise out in the cold, once I've finished: should I cool down outside in the cold, or inside, where it's much warmer?
thanks,
hippy
