Hmm... that kind of depends where you are. I *had* to
degrease/clean/regrease my winter bike today - and no sooner had I got
hose/stand/bike ready - we were enveloped in a brief blizzard. Grr...

Cars coming east along the A47 have a lot of snow on them - looks like
it's been snowing a lot, over Norwich way.

I got the degreasing done in the end though, and my hands have pretty
much thawed out.

Just had a short ride from Surbiton to Teddington, cutting through Bushey
Park. Stopped to watch the young deer play fighting (play rutting?), great
sight - photo didn't come out at all well.

Still, it was a nice diversion. I plan to get a whole days worth out
tomorrow, hopefully.

(Great sunset out there at the moment too ... bet the farmers are chuffed).

Indeedee, cruddy fleezin out here in the sticks! Nathan has gone over to a
mate's place InTheMiddleOfNowhere so I'll go and collect him much later. It
is exceeding chilly out there, it's that eastern cold where the wind blows
in from the sea and it's got a rawness to it that chills to the bone🙁

Is that a stitch up? I think I can see some artifacts between the
trees in the middleground.

Indeed did 100km today as a warm up for tomorrows 200km Winter Solstice.

I had a potentially expensive ride, no other idiot turned up for the
club run so did a quick 60k. Very gingerly crossed the ford comforted
by the fact that the water was still running; did not notice the large
expanse of frozen road the other side, Whack, bent arms legs gear
hanger and rear mech, a session with vice and adjustable spanner this
afternoon methinks ;-( nice ride away from the wind though, and met
some PBP/LEL/BMB vets in the caff.

the camera/phone rather than yourself. Panoramas work best when the

It's a three picture panoramic, when you take the first it shows a greyed
out corner to help line up the next picture. Works reasonably well except
when I tried to take a photo of my flat. I was just testing out to see what
the landscape photos were like and will test the advice of rotating the
camera next time I'm out.

The 200km turned into 225 actually due to riding to and from Tony Bs
house and of course the obligatory missed turns. It was 'kin. cold at
07:30.

no I missed the ford (1) but fell off in the middle of the lane just
after it which was a frozen pile of leaf mulch which coincided with my
thigh arm and rear mech; it bloody hurt but a few miles later the pain
had worn off.
(1) Twyford, but the lower one not the one which features in the Mid
Sussex Hilly although very similar.

no, that would have hurt less, I landed on a lump of frozen leaf mulch
the other side in the middle of the lane (Twyford near the Mid Sussex
Hilly route, but actually the lower ford, hence the name). I was
rewarded with a very close quarters view of a real spotty deer with
antlers just before leaving Ashdown Forest.
