I have been on many Big Charity rides, with 3000 plus entrants or so, and
everytime withing minutes I see riders to the side of tne road fixing a
flat, and throughout the whole ride, I will see possibly 50 or so each time.
Ok I just spent 3 weeks in Tokyo, and I would have to say that on any given
day I would see 1,000's of cyclists comuting to and from work or where ever?
However in my 3 weeks there, I never saw once anyone repairing a flat tyre.
As silly at this may sound, it just intrigued me a little.
Also I might add that cars & pedestrians treat cyclists with great respect
in Tokyo, which is sadly not the case in Australia.
The funny thing I saw was bikes getting parking tickets for parking in a no
parking spot, but how do they trace the owners ?
