I'm unwontedly sleepy now, and I don't really have a reason to stay awake,
so I'm going to toddle off to bed. More than likely, I'll wake up in the
middle of the night and see if there's anybody on the chat line. :-)

Hi Bob,
It is chilly here in Northern California. I was in a soup mood too. I made
good old fashioned Chicken soup noodle tonight. After the "what's the
oldest thing in your freezer" challenge I found some chicken breasts that
would be great if used in a soup. Weren't looking good for anything else.
I used fusilli for the noodles, little onion, celery, garlic and when I went
to use carrots the kids begged for green beans. I didn't think I'd like the
green beans, but they were really good in the soup. It was so warm and
delicious and just enough left for hubby's lunch tomorrow.
Wishing I could hit the hay, but both kids have reports due Thursday and
we're working right up til nine and then I'll do some dishes and head off to
bed myself.

We had the baked ziti with little meatballs that I made last week and
stuck in the freezer. Even though I used small-curd cottage cheese
instead of ricotta (I was shopping at Aldi's and they don't carry
ricotta anymore) it was still really good. Ellie had three bowls of
it-and this is the child who ate a banana and some toast yesterday 🙂
