Oops, I had a little off last night. I was overtaking a queue and a
pedestrian walked through the stopped cars looking the other way. Of
course I'd grab a big handful of brake, forgetting that it was damp and
greasy last night, and I was sliding along on my elbow and side in a
split second later. Doh!
I'm so glad I was on the 'bent though, I would so have hated to have
any real distance to fall from. To his credit the ped stopped,
apologised, and asked if I was OK, not that I expected him to.
Earlier in my commute home I broke my chain, but had a spare powerlink
in the toolbag so that was an easy fix. Thanks muchly to URC for all
the chain conversations, for ages now I've carried both an 8 speed and
a 9 speed powerlink thanks to your posts.
Oh, and then a while later some muppet in a Mercedes got frustrated at
having to wait behind me as I overtook some parked cars. He then
overtook me and immediately turned left across me.
