What's with the funky viewer? Why not just do it as a PDF? I may be
paranoid but I really don't go for installing mysterious viewers on my
machine.

Doing a quick bit of research on "DNL reader", it actually looks legit.
Apparently it's a format that allows "3-D page turning", which I
suppose is a step up from Adobe...perhaps artistically maybe.
Understand the reticence, however, of downloading anything you're
unsure of. Still debating the download myself, by the way....

Well I downloaded, scanned with two different products and then ran.
While you guys have no idea who I really am or how good the products
are that I used to scan etc. I have to say it was well worth the
effort.
The content of the online magazine was good, the graphics really
excellent if you want illustrations, pictures etc. and on the whole I
think its definately a good way for commercial publishers to put out
high quality content.
On the other hand, printing will be difficult, you can't read the
content on anything except a Windows PC and the 3D page turning was a
little annoying.
My only question to those that won't try it... where did you get your
first Adobe Acrobat from? There is no reason why you shouldn't download
this provided you save it to your hard drive, and scan it with a good
up to date antivirus product BEFORE launching/running/executing it.
Missing out on a great read of a new tech magazine and great coverage...
THe software is legit; the publication is first rate (and I'm not paid to
support the enterprise) - it's the best thing to come out of Australia since
