Refried beans are just beans, usually pintos, that you have cooked and
then fried in lard or bacon grease or vegetable oil. The beans
themselves and then the refried beans can have any number of things
added to them, such as smoked pork hock, onion, garlic. Are you
wanting to know how to cook a pot of beans, or what the frying
technique is, or suggestions for additional ingredients, or what?
'Cause the basic recipe is: make a pot of beans, then fry them. Folks
may have good recipes for you if you tell 'em what you want. -aem
