Yes. Partly because the free demo area came with my GPS (purchased from
them). And partly because they offered 1:50,000 for an area of the country
which suits my needs for £40, whereas the other providers had their area
joins in the "wrong place" for my use.

It works. I sort of preferred the simpler earlier version because I thought
it did all I needed. But am slowly getting the hang of v3. My use is
primarily planning cycling trips on roads, or at worst, bridleways.

Given the recent comments about upgrade prices (and not being able to use
"older" maps with "newer" packages) with Anquet, similar past issues with
MemoryMap and Tracklogs, then I'd treat any commercial mapping software for
the UK as a "buy all you need now, and regard it as disposable over the 3 to
6 years that your current computer will probably last".
