  1. I was flipping through the coupons that come with the Sunday paper and ran
across one for the Java-Log. It's a fireplace log made from recycled spent
coffee grounds. Huh. Anyone ever tried one of these? Does it smell like
coffee? Wonder where they get the coffee grounds.

I read the product description. I said it had a sweeter smell but no
mention of a coffee smell. Just come over this way. I have enough seasoned
oak to keep you going all winter.

I've still got about a quarter cord of Arkansas red oak. Sometimes I use a
small "fire-log" to get it going but it's not essential (just easier!)

Any company that produces instant and/or freeze dried coffee would probably
have lots of grounds as a by/product.

That's because the storms keep blowing your trees over.
