  1. Today I received a set of Forge thumb shifter adapters/mounts. The web site says they adapt the
"Shimano time trial bar end shifter units" to 9-speed thumb shifters. I believe this refers to the
SL-BS77 bar end shifter, but since Shimano does not call them "time trial bar end shifters" I am
unable to confirm, although I do find them (SL-BS77) in the Tri/Time Trial section of the Shimano
Euro site. According to my LBS there is also a down tube shifter available as well. Since he had
neither in stock I couldn't just take the mounts down and see what works....

Can anyone using these shifters enlighten me, please? It's the last link to getting thumb
    shifters back!

    Thanks in advance. Cheers,

Yes, they are the bar-end shifters, and not the downtube shifters. Shiamno part no. SL-BS77 for
Dura-ace shifters. They used to be called Bar-Cons.

Bar cons were the Suntour variety of bar-end shifter not Shimano.
