They'll probably work, but if the tubes are stretched out they may be more prone to punctures. It's worth the $10 to not have to worry about it.

but take them along as get you home spares - you don´t always puncture twice on a ride but it´s a pain to trash a new tube - I always fit a repaired tube at the roadside and fit a new one when I get home , also it´s easier to give away an old tube when helping out a stranger in trouble .

You will be OK with them

I'm with Art here...do it right before the trip. If you're riding the 184 miles with a group, it's not fair to slow them down during the ride while you fiddle with changing tubes. While the group is waiting for you to fix your flats at the side of the road, you can explain how you saved $10 by re-using the wrong-size old tubes.

From personal experience, I can tell you this not the way to endear yourself to your buddies. A little money spent to make your equipment as reliable as possible before you start the ride is well worth it.
